For the most current video tutorials, check out my Patreon page at https:www.patreon.com/andreanelson So many of you have told me that when you go to paint on your own, you just don't know where to start. I feel that way too! It's totally normal! In this video we're going to talk about it and I'm going to tell you a little bit about how I started back in the day by doing really simple drawings with really simple paint and some ink. By not trying to paint something in a ton of detail, it frees you up to just create. I hope you'll find this helpful as you continue to grow in your own art practice. In the video, I talk about the book, Draw Your Day by Samantha Dion Baker, which I have mentioned before. I think this style of creating is really accessible when you're just starting out, or even if you've been painting for a long time. You can find Sam on Instagram at https://www.instagram.com/sdionbakerdesign?igsh=djBtcjQ1eGZkN3Np and her book is at https://amzn.to/4238NYr Supplies: Watercolor Practice Book https://www.adreamoradayart.com/product-page/watercolor-practice-book-soft-cover 24 color essential palette https://www.adreamoradayart.com/product-page/essential-watercolor-paint-set-24-colors Size 6 and 8 round brushes https://www.adreamoradayart.com/product-page/all-the-brushes-4-brush-set Artist pens https://www.adreamoradayart.com/product-page/9-pigment-liner-pen-set A Pencil and eraser (but you're not allowed to erase the warm up!)
