This week Plant Lover an answer to a request to make a video about to do with seedling orchids once you've bought one! And as I buy a lot of seedlings I think I have my own rhythm with them now! I'll go through the basic questions of why would you buy a seedling in the first place? What are the pros and cons? What do you do when you receive it and then...should you repot immediately...or not! All my learnings are specific to my climate so different things might work for you depending upon where you are, but the joy of experimenting with seedlings is that they are not THAT expensive so mistakes are allowed to happen! The video is time stamped for the key moments below.
I mention my fertilising video which you can see here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gi7YO_D532s
I made a video about my de-flasking experiment which you can see here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MWG9X3F0PH0
This is the Mycorrhizal fungi brand I use but there are lots of options so investigate what other growers might recommend in your area: https://www.diggers.com.au/products/mycogold-beneficial-fungi-for-plants-200
