You can watch the machine from behind a glass wall inside the store. The first Krispy Kreme store was in 1937. In the 1950s they used the Krispy Automatic Ring-King Junior to make the donuts. The machine today is a lot bigger and can churn out over 3000 donuts per hour! The machine has several main parts: mixer, extruder, proofer, fryer, glaze waterfall, retail curve, and cooling tunnel. The machine can be modified to make different types of donuts; some of them are dipped by hand into colored icing. Experienced workers need to monitor the machine at each step of the way. Just in case, they also have the emergency stop button. #KrispyKreme #Donut #Howitworks
