The East India Company, one of the most influential corporations in the history of the world, came to trade for trade, once established rule in a complete subcontinent. In the Indian subcontinent, the British's 200 -year rule began at the hands of the East India Company, which ended with the partition of the Indian subcontinent in 1947. During this reign, the Indian subcontinent lost its position as one of the world's largest economies and became one of the poverty-stricken regions of the world. At the beginning of the 18th century, the economy of India was almost one-fourth of the global economy, whereby in 1950, it dropped to only 4%. Although the company was abolished more than 150 years ago, when the East India Company was reunited in the early 21st century, the Indian businessman Sanjiv Mehta bought it. Currently, the company is operating as a food and luxury lifestyle business. In this video, we will explore the East India Company occupied, looted, and ruled the Indian subcontinent for almost 200 years.
