BUT, if you are looking for a Daily Driver 1st, and an off-roader 2nd, then in my opinion, the Passport is a very very compelling choice! Let's see if a 2 inch lifted 2019 Honda Passport, with rear sway bars disconnected, can follow a Toyota Landcruiser 100 series and a Lexus GX470 (Landcruiser Prado) up a difficult trail in Lytle Creek, CA. Please note that this is the trail difficulty listed by www.trailsoffroad.com on a scale from easy-moderate-difficult-severe-extreme. Not many people know, but the AWD system found in the bigger Honda vehicles is pretty advanced, it's called iVTM4. It combines the standard traction control systems with a twin clutch rear differential (think electronically controlled mechanical limited slip differential with reduction gear sets). BUT, the main problem with AWD crossover/SUVs really seems to be the lack of wheel articulation. This is the first trail run where I am able to test to see how much of a difference this makes, and on a trail that's on the more difficult side. ***Check out the Borderline Explorer YouTube Channel*** https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC_FlQLSuuLQ2ormD5PlAPjw VEHICLE DETAILS: 2019 Honda Passport EX-L AWD @jondz_adventuring 4250 lbs. 3.5L V6 280hp / 262tq 9 speed automatic transmission 1 speed transfer case 20:1 crawl ratio 2 inch Traxda lift kit 2 inch taller All-terrain tires - Cooper Discovery AT3 4S 100 Series Toyota Landcruiser 5115 lbs. 4.7L V8 230hp / 320tq 4 speed automatic transmission 2 speed transfer case 30:1 crawl ratio Stock height OEM Highway tires Lexus GX 470 @daklakfoto 4871 lbs. 4.7L V8 263go / 323tq 5 speed automatic transmission 2 speed transfer case 34:1 crawl ratio lift kit (info pending) taller All-terrain tires (info pending) - Falken Wildpeak AT3W Mazda Navajo (Ford Explorer) @borderlineexplorer 4292 lbs. 4.0 V6 155 hp / 220tq 5 speed automatic transmission 2 speed transfer case 33:1 crawl ratio Stock height Taller Mud Terrain tires SKID PLATE FOR PILOT/RIDGELINE/PASSPORT https://no-lodesigns.com/shop/ols/products/honda-ridgeline-2017-19
