Today's video is a departure from my usual calligraphy tutorials. I've been asked how I practice speaking as a content creator, so I decided to share my routines and methods for improving my English as a YouTuber. #영어공부 #영어공부방법
English isn't my first language, as you've probably noticed from my accent. My family moved from Korea to Canada when I was 12, giving me the opportunity to learn English from a young age. But speaking on camera or teaching requires different skills.
In this video, I'll share four practice routines and methods to improve English speaking, focusing on explaining ideas effectively:
0:00 How I practice speaking English as a YouTuber
1:23 Speaking practice is essentially thinking practice
3:29 How to practice thinking in English
3:37 Method 1: Forest Practice (content oriented)
4:52 Method 1: Forest Practice (problem oriented)
5:52 Benefits of Forest Practice
7:07 Method 2: Write & Discuss
8:56 Method 3: Self Talk
9:56 Tree Practice (Surface Lexicon)
12:25 What is a Surface Lexicon & Deep Lexicon
13:31 Encouragement
By practicing these methods, I've seen significant progress in my speaking skills. Don't be discouraged by slow progress—improvement is achievable with consistent effort.
