Building a house in Ghana is not as easy as it looks on video. I was so determined to leave America and build here that I practically starved myself over the course of 6 years to be here today. Not really starved but I lived off of the bare minimum. No parties, no shopping sprees, no fancy clothes, just work and home. A home is the only thing I’d go broke for. Anything else would be uncivilized. Discipline,  dedication and determination. 🥵 I have 4 kids and 3 of them are building a 3 story single room studio on this same land that they can have whenever they make up their mind to come home. A word to the wise, build small unless you are a married couple or just a group of people that want to share the load, because half of the money I used on building could have went on a business 😩 but I still think I made a better choice than most that are renting and still trying to build. That makes it even harder. But it’s so doable. Even though it was a rough 6 years, I payed what you would pay for a used double wide trailer home in America; yup you heard me right.
