When I first went vegan I still struggled with my weight, but it wasn't until I learned to eat a whole food plant-based diet, higher in starch/carbs and lower in fat when the fat started to melt off of me. Then after the weight loss stalled a bit, understanding more how calorie density could help me really changed things.
