I am making golden crispy shrimp toast for an easy and delicious dinner. Shrimp toast or prawn toast is a Cantonese dim sum dish from Hong Kong. It is made from small triangles of bread, coated with a paste made from minced shrimp and cooked by baking or deep frying. This is typically served as an appetizer at my local Chinese food restaurant, but today I am serving this for an easy dinner.

8 oz shrimp (shelled & cleaned)
1 large egg
2 heaping Tbsp cornstarch
2 tsp Shaoxing cooking wine
1 tsp sesame oil
1/2 tsp chicken bouillon powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp msg
1/4 tsp onion powder
1/4 tsp garlic powder
1/4 tsp white pepper
1 scallion
8 slices of white bread
cooking oil for frying
1/4 cup sesame seeds for coating
