Video Not Working? Fix It Now

I drove more than 10.000 km thiking my brake discs were bent. In this video, I will show you how I completely solved my vibration or shuddering while braking with semi-floating or floating discs, by using just one tool, a bit of brake cleaner and some patience. In less than 20 minutes you will have recovered the steady and progressive braking power that made us fall in love at the beginning. In this case, I will be showing you how I did it on my electric motorcycle, a Zero SR/S from 2020.
Semi-floating and floating discs are the champions when it comes to braking quality, and it can be easily demonstrated by seeing that most of the modern motorcycles from the big makers have them installed. However, they can also show problems that are not easily found on fixed (non-floating) discs, namely vibrations, stuttering or shuddering on the brakes while braking, which can turn our peaceful ride into a nightmare, even getting to the point of being dangerous at higher speeds and on curves. We could come to the conclusion that the discs are bent and the a replacement is needed.
Zero Motorcycles models SR/S and SR/F use double semi-floating discs on the front wheel. And since the electravelers like myself like to enjoy the regenerative braking as much as possible, it means that we won´t use the brake pads so often. Then, it is easier to get dust and debris in between the floating and the non-floating part of the disc, held together by the rivets or bobbins. The debris may cause the rivets to lose their mobility, clogging the disc into a fixed position that can later result in the abovementioned vibrations or shuddering, mainly due to uneven heating during braking. These vibrations are transferred to the handlebar and cause the unpleasant sensation of pulsating discs. The solution lies in cleaning properly the debris stuck between the rivets or bobbins, so that they are mobile again. I found a particular technique that allowed me to get rid of the vibrations, as the cleaning is much more efficient this way. Do you want to know the technique? This video is for you.
