Fountain pens are popular with many sketchers, and there are good reasons for it: they're portable, refillable, flexible and then there's the expressiveness of the linework.
I'll always prefer a fountain pen over a fineliner or technical pen. Over the years I've accumulated different fountain pens. For sketching, I never use expensive fountain pens, and I don't own any pen that has cost more than $25.
