Discussing how I generally only use a single resistance band for most of my workouts. Of course having more bands opens up more options and ways to dial in tension and this is not ideal if resistance band training is your only mode of resistance training. But I often find that a single moderate to light band works perfectly alongside not only other equipment, but also for many stand alone workouts I've done as well.
