In this junk journal with me video, I’ll be working on a page using old train tickets for today’s prompt! This is an easy way to incorporate and upcycle ephemera into your junk journal collages, with a focus on creating an eclectic, layered look. :)

Junk Journal January is a free month-long challenge to inspire you to create in your junk journal or art journal. It’s a great chance to kickstart your creativity in 2025 with a supportive community and show up to your journal!

How to get involved

Follow the prompt list and create along each day - or pick and choose the prompts that take your fancy. There are no rules! You’re welcome to use the prompts with other types of journaling too.

Creator collaboration

Each day throughout the month, watch a new video from 30 different creators on YouTube. Create a journal page alongside them for the day’s prompt. Videos will appear in the playlist at 12pm (midday) GMT each day from 1 January.
