This is especially true when bucking a large log with a short chainsaw bar. I am bucking this large white fir tree into logs to put on a Woodmizer LT15 sawmill. It will be cut into lumber, slabs and firewood. I demonstrate how I buck this log to get a square, mostly even, flush cut with a short chainsaw bar. The chainsaw is a Stihl MS 462 with 32 inch light bar. Square ground skip tooth chain. This is a dead tree I cut down on my family's ranch.
