Before we can build our new shutters, there's a lot of measuring to do. We’re planning to replicate the solid-style shutters added about 15 years ago on the ground floor, and we’d like to stick with the "persiane" shutters upstairs.
This week was all about preparing: taking measurements, studying old examples, and ordering wood. Plus: finishing the workshop (for now), rhubarb pie, planting out flowers, taking the glass out of the kitchen door, and a few glimpses of Lana enjoying her newfound freedom.
We're Isis & Bertus, a Belgian–Dutch couple restoring a long-abandoned farmhouse in a tiny village in northwest Italy. Thanks for watching and being part of the journey.
