Kamiya Jani is on a spiritual journey to the Maha Kumbh Mela 2025 in Prayagraj, one of the largest and most sacred gatherings on Earth! In this special episode, Kamiya explores the incredible arrangements made by the authorities to ensure safety, security, and cleanliness for the millions of devotees and visitors attending this historic event.
Safety & Security:
AI-Enabled Surveillance: Over 2,700-2,800 cameras have been installed, including 500 AI-enabled cameras to monitor crowd behavior, track crowd density, and ensure smooth management. These cameras also support facial recognition, helping locate specific individuals if needed, and assist in lost & found cases.
Drone Cameras: Drones are being used extensively to monitor cleanliness, crowd movement, and the flow of pilgrims during sacred bathing times.
Police Deployment: More than 60,000 police personnel, including 4,000 Jal Police and 11 speed motorboats, have been deployed. Additionally, 13 temporary police stations and 15 checkpoints have been set up.
Mounted Police: Specially trained mounted police with 130 horses are on standby for crowd control, ensuring safety in the Mela’s unique topography.
Cleanliness Initiatives:
Toilet Facilities: A staggering 12,000 FRP toilets, 16,000 prefabricated steel toilets, and 20,000 community urinals have been installed to maintain hygiene.
Sanitation Workers: The government has built special colonies for sanitation workers and their families, complete with excellent schools to ensure their children’s education continues uninterrupted.
