Not only do they fly the world’s longest route, but they’ve done so for quite some time. It first started non-stop service to New York - a mission that spans 19 hours - back in 2004. And when it did so, it beat the previous record by a whopping 1400 miles. Of course, the world has changed dramatically in the 20 years since, and demand for long-haul travel has grown rapidly. In fact, 9 out of the 10 longest flights today debuted within the last decade. And yet, Singapore’s New York service remains untouched atop the list. Now, their reign hasn’t been an accident; flying ultra-long-missions is incredibly challenging. So, what’s made the carrier so successful? What’s allowed Singapore Airlines to not only claim - but hold onto the record - for the world’s longest flight? Let me explain… #singporeairlines #airbus #a350 #a350ULR
