In the world of Jujutsu Kaisen, there are plenty of strong techniques—from people like Gojo, who can manipulate space and bring it into reality, to devils like Sukuna, who can destroy entire cities with a single blow. But nothing compares to one particular technique. With the Ten Shadows technique, a sorcerer can summon ten shikigami, one of which was able to kill a Six Eyes Limitless user.
Mahoraga is a powerful shikigami that has never been tamed by any Ten Shadows user in history. This shikigami was so strong that Gojo himself stated that a sorcerer with the same abilities as him died to this beast—and Gojo was definitely not wrong. When Megumi summoned Mahoraga, Sukuna immediately realized that if he had been a cursed spirit, Mahoraga could have killed him instantly. With just one swing from his Sword of Extermination, cursed spirits would have been wiped out instantly.
Sukuna, at 15 fingers, fought against Mahoraga, and as powerful as the King of Curses is, Mahoraga continued learning and adapting to his techniques. Surprisingly, it even became the first shikigami to witness Sukuna’s cursed technique firsthand. Mahoraga further proved its strength when facing the strongest sorcerer of the modern age—Satoru Gojo. During Sukuna and Gojo's epic showdown, Mahoraga not only adapted to Gojo’s Domain Expansion but also became the first being to see past Infinity and bypass it.
With Mahoraga’s ability—the World Cutting Slash—it taught the King of Curses that even with Dismantle, there is always a way to counter any technique. Despite being tamed by Sukuna and helping in the 3v1 battle against Gojo, Mahoraga ultimately met its end when Hollow Purple completely erased it from existence.
