Super Metroid is often brought up as one of the best video games of all time, and while it's not 100% perfect (I'm looking at you, Last Save Room In Tourian), it's pretty much 99% perfection.
Have a sit in my animated home and join me in going through just HOW Super Metroid gets it all right.
