All content is free to the public for your viewing pleasure. If you would like to support my channel then you can by me a coffee. Thanks for watching! https://www.buymeacoffee.com/TheMotoMuse In this video I disassemble all the components that make up the clutch in a motorcycle engine and explain how they work together to disengage the constantly moving parts in the engine from the input/output shafts that make up the transmission and allows you to control your motorcycle. This is a wet multi-plate clutch. "Wet" because it is bathed in the same oil as the rest of the engine internals. The engine oil plays an important role in setting the friction between the numerous friction plates and plain plates that sit inside the clutch basket. The clutch is composed of the clutch spring bolts, the clutch springs, the clutch centre, the pressure plate, the friction and plain plates, the lifting plate, a pushrod, bearings, the clutch basket (or clutch housing) and the primary driven gear.
