He lives as a recluse, spreading terror for 18 years by mailing parcel bombs. Two men were killed and more than a dozen seriously injured. No one, however, knew the identity of the terrorist. The Unabomber's manifesto, written by Kaczynski and published in several newspapers, sparks feverish activity in the FBI offices: handwriting analysis, comparisons, analysis of DNA taken from a postage stamp and, finally, the arrest of Ted Kaczynski in his cabin in the middle of the forest. The agents discovered a wealth of clues, including the original manifesto. Kaczynski is currently serving 4 life sentences plus 30 years, without the possibility of parole.
