There are 718 registered Fire Stations throughout the state of New Jersey. Lebanon Fire Department is located in North Hunterdon County and is part of an alliance with other stations. They have designed Squad 18 which is a 2006 Seagrave Pumper Type1. They use it as a FEMA NIMS Resource. The Marauder model is an 8-man cab that has a 1500 gpm 2-stage pump with 500 gallons of water for immediate service. The power plant is sitting on a 420hp Detroit Diesel giving it plenty of engine to respond to all emergencies. Other features on the rig are; TNT Hydraulic Rescue Tools, Cribbing, a Speedy dry hopper, Side and rear winch mounts, top mounted Coffin compartments, 3″ pre-piped deck gun, and 6000-watt Light Tower. Being one of the North County FAST Engines Squat 18 also has; Thermal Imaging Camera, EMT Crash Bag, Portable Oxygen Bag, AED, Stokes Basket, and Backboards making it a perfect tool for Rapid Intervention Teams. Squad 18 is 1st due to all motor vehicle accidents but is designated as the 3rd due for all structure-related calls and alarms. However, it is available for any special call-out assignments.
