How This $700 Analog Synth Opened My Eyes - Behringer UB-XA Desktop
In the process of producing my first EP, I felt the need to be on camera to tell the story of how this $700, 16-Voice Polyphonic Analog Synthesizer, the Behringer UB-XA Desktop, opened my eyes to this company, who has been the subject of a lot hate from some synth enthusiasts.
After selling a lot of my hardware synths - Moog Grandmother, Arp Odyssey, and swearing that I will only use iPad apps, my Roland TR-8s, and the Roland JU-06A in producing my EP, I chanced upon this Behringer UB-Xa D online for $675. For a 16 voice polyphonic analog synth, which is based on the legendary Oberheim OB-Xa, this price is unheard of, so I read some articles about it and found mixed reviews. I didn't care and just tried it to see if it will work for my production.
