How to assign row names from a given column to data in R or RStudio

It is sometimes necessary to name the rows of your when importing data into R or RStudio. For example to make the graph of individuals in the PCA. By default R assigns numbers as row names of your data but they can be replaced by the real row names by specifying the column which contains the row names.
