So, it took a long time to beat this game but its finally off the table. Recently I found that letting the phone ring for a little longer while you were in that corridor next to the long hallway at the start of the game would let him know where you are but it will make him go through another route so you can go around him, as you can see it didnt work out all entirely as he almost noticed me but I escaped.
