HOW TO BIND A QUILT: big stitch binding tutorial to help you finish your quilts by hand

Binding a quilt is the final step in making a new quilt and it can totally change the look of the quilt. This video walks you through making quilt binding, attaching it to the front of the quilt by machine, and then stitching the binding to the back of the quilt by hand. This is the best quilt binding strategy in my opinion and I am so much happier with my quilts now I use this binding technique. It is slower than binding by machine completely, but the finished product is much neater and I enjoy the process so much more. Making quilt binding is simple, as is attaching the binding to the quilt. The corners are the trickiest parts, but they're not really difficult. And the best part is, if you get the front right first, then the back basically folds itself into place and you don't even have to worry about it!
