Superworms are an amazing food for your pet. And breeding superworms is a great way to provide your pets with a consistent supply of healthy food. They offer plenty of protein and fat that your pets require. But they fall short with calcium-to-phosphorus. Here's why calcium-to-phosphorus is so important:

Breeding superworms is more complex than breeding crickets. They go through a metamorphosis, which can take up to 6 months before you start to see 2" large superworms. The metamorphosis starts as an egg, then the egg hatches into the larva (the superworms), then the larva turns into the pupa, then the pupa turns into the beetle. And then the beetles breed and lay eggs that have baby superworms.
Here's a basic summary of the steps we discuss in the video:
1. Buy large superworms - The first step is to buy large superworms. You can purchase them here:

2. Feed your superworms - After you buy your superworms, follow the instructions in the video, and set them up with a nutritional habitat, and let them consume food for about 1 week. This will help them transform into the next stage of their transformation.
3. Isolate your superworms - Superworms are unique, and need to be isolated to transform into the pupa stage. Place each superworm in an individual deli cup, and let them sit in a dark, pitch black room for about 4 weeks.
4. Beetle Mania! - After 4 weeks, your superworms should turn into beetles! These beetles are called darlking beetles. This is great that you have all these beetles. But you can't leave them in the cups. You need a place to set them up so they can breed and lay eggs. Follow the steps in the video on how to stage a breeding bin for your superworm beetles.
5. Baby Superworms - After 2 weeks in the breeding bin, the beetles should have laid hundreds of eggs. Take the beetles out of this bin, and set them up in a new bin. Then, let the bin sit for about 2 weeks, and sift through the bedding. Your should find a plethora of mico superworms. You will need to let those superworms feast for about 4-5 months before they grow into 2" superworms.
