How to brew gyokuro (Japanese green tea) - d:matcha Tea School

Have you ever wondered what the best brewing method for Gyokuro (Japanese green tea) is? Watch this tutorial to learn more! Follow along with Daiki-san: 1. First brew: 40 degree celcius for approximately 1 1/2 to 2 minutes 2. Second brew: 50 to 60 degree celcius for approximately a minute 3. Third brew: 70 to 80 degree celcius for 30 seconds 4. Fourth brew: 90 or boiling water. Immediately pour the tea into your teacup. You do not have to wait for the leaves to steep. Brewing cold gyokuro: 1. Place the ice cubes on your gyokuro tea leaves 2. Allow enough time for the ice cubes to melt and enjoy!
