I decided to mash up two of my passions: Art and Woodworking by building a wooden floor easel. This is a really easy woodworking project that can be done in a day. As an artist, I seem to always be in the need for an easel with certain specifications in mind. This large floor easel can be made to whatever specifications I want or need. I used threaded inserts and star head bolts on the joints of the easel soo every part is adjustable and highly functional. Even though I used a lot of scrap wood for this project, the material cost if you have to buy everything outright is still extremely low, compared to the cost of the large scale floor easels available in the stores.
