This video shows you how to calculate Cronbach's alpha in Microsoft Excel using similar data to an article I published in the Journal of Business Research https://doi.org/10.1016/j.jbusres.2018.10.021.
Cronbach's alpha provides a measure of the internal consistency of a scale, a value greater than .70 is desirable.
This video is especially useful for undergraduate students, graduate students, or doctoral students conducting research using multi-item scales. Students in psychology or psychology-related fields (e.g., consumer behavior, hospitality management, etc.) will most likely encounter/use Cronbach's alpha in their research.
