What can you do when faced with an RCD that keeps tripping. In this video Marcus explains how to carryout an RCD ramp test. This test can prove if an RCD is oversensitive by showing the electrician the amount of earth leakage current in milliamps that it takes to trip the installed RCD.
Marcus carries out the ramp test from the load side of the RCCB with the MCB's OFF therefore removing all the loads in circuit.
