How to Change the Master Window Switch (2010 Chrysler Town & Country)
Tools Needed:
• Plastic trim tool or flathead screwdriver (use tape to avoid scratches)
• Small flathead or pick tool (for connector release)
⸻
Steps:
1. Disconnect the Battery
• Disconnect the negative battery cable (10mm socket) to be safe — you’re dealing with electronics.
⸻
2. Remove the Master Switch Assembly
• Use a plastic trim tool or flathead screwdriver to gently pry up the switch panel from the door armrest.
• Start at the rear side and work forward — it’s held in by clips.
• Lift it out carefully — don’t yank it, because the wiring harness is still attached underneath.
⸻
3. Disconnect the Electrical Connector
• Press the tab on the connector and pull it out of the switch.
• If it’s stuck, use a small pick or flathead to gently lift the locking tab.
⸻
4. Install the New Switch
• Plug the connector into the new switch.
• Push the switch assembly back into the armrest until it snaps into place securely.
⸻
5. Reconnect the Battery
• Reattach the negative battery terminal.
• Start the vehicle or turn the ignition to ACC and test all window functions.
