Here I show how to get a rocks specific gravity to identify it from quartz to feldspar to talc and on note specific gravity of a diamond is 3.52 while a sapphire is 3.95 to 4.03 and ruby 3.95 to 4.10 and quartz tipically range 2.59 to 2.65 and feldspar 2.55 to 2.76

you can google what ever specific gravity your rock is
example weigh rock in grams then put a container water on the scale then zero it out now hold the same rock on a string into the water not letting it touch the bottom of sides but is below the water now read the scale . Ok divide the first number by the second and that will be your specific gravity if it is. say it's 147 divided by 57 and it is 2.57 and it looks like rose quartz ask can rose quartz have a specific gravity of 2.57 Google said yes..

or if it's 28 divided by 11 now it's 2.54 what rock has a specific gravity of 2.54 this color google reply strontium

see it's easy ok this video was made and uploaded 03/17/2025
