💠💠💠 This is an early BETA version of Amigo that is coming soon! 💠💠💠 Overview of techniques at the bottom of the description.👇 I know i’ve gone over this 1000 times already but I wanted to do a complete walkthrough in one place so I can sent people here if they ever have trouble understanding this topic. I know lots of people also chop with audio but I think there are a lot of benefits to Midi chopping once you get your hear around the basics. I hope this helps. 😊 I’m going to hit the ground running after the break & have lots of plans coming in hot! 🚀✌️ Patreon ❤️ https://www.patreon.com/groovining/membership Sample Packs 💎 Mega Summer Sample Pack Jungle Bundle 💎https://www.groovingbiz.co.uk/ ⭐️ 90’s Jungle Pads - https://www.groovingbiz.co.uk/90drumfunk Don’t Go to School, Just Smoke Cannabis & Make Tunes: (00:00) Intro: (00:55) Does Break Chopping Need To Be Complex?: (01:18) Chopping a Perfect 2,4 or 8 Bar Section From the Funky Drummer: (02:26) Loading Into Amigo VST: (04:00) Equal Individual Slice Technique: (04:16) Manual Individual Slice Technique: (07:18) Equal Slice With Tight Kicks & Snares: (08:45) Equal Long Slice Technique: (09:38) Custom Long Slice Technique: (12:47) Long Slice Time-stretching Technique: (14:35) Outro: (16:45) Funky Drumer Break - https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1Yl54umSf2JehGWeAYv_7-65IIRS0y6BX?usp=sharing The Techniques Individual Slice Techniques (1) Equal Slices - Slice the break at even intervals to include all the hits (16th slices in this case) (2) Manual Slice Hits - Manually slice by setting markers at all the transient for the hits. (3) Equal Slices with tight kicks & snares - Use equal slices for all the hits but move the markers for the kicks and snares to be tight to the hits. Long Slice Techniques (1) Equal Long Slices - Evenly slice the break into larger sections like 1/4 notes. The break must be pitched or time stretched to your BPM. You can also let the break slices run through one & another to the end of the whole sample. (2) Custom Long Slices - This is the classic Photek technique where you chose you slice points. The break must also be pitched or time stretched to your BPM. Often the Kick, Snare & Shuffle.
