Learn how to collect and store coneflower seeds so you can grow more coneflowers or share them with friends and family. The best way to know if your coneflower seeds are ready to be collected is to "listen for the crackle" sound that the center of the flower makes when you squeeze it between your fingers. This means that the coneflower is dried enough that the seeds are ready to collect.
Coneflower seeds are easy to collect and sow in your garden. Although they will begin to grow in the first season, they may take 2-3 years to actually produce blooms.
