This is a very short and easy video about how I color a beautiful, fiery red autumn leaf with Prismacolor Premier colored pencils.
You will need these colors:
- 924 Crimson red
- 922 Poppy red
- 921 Pale vermilion
Use these 3 red colors to define the edges of the leaf, the darkest red goes to the very edge and the lighter red, you can gently spread it further from the edges (direction to the center of the leaf).
Then use the yellow Jasmine pencil
- 1012 Jasmine
and cover the whole leaf area with it, you can apply a light pressure. The colors will nicely join together.
Then it's time for orange:
- 1003 Spanish orange
Connect the red edges and the yellow interior of the leaf with this beautiful shiny orange pencil. You can go a little bit further to the center of the leaf with this pencil, filling gently the areas between the leaf veins.
At the end, you can go back to the 921 Pale Vermilion and go over the red - orange parts gently again.
Fill the leaf petiole with the orange pencil too.
Voila, you're done :)
