This video is a simple program on how to calculate the number of cargoes on each hold by means of “Percentage” and “Stowage Factor”. This is applicable for any vessels (Bulk) of size. The purpose of this video is to give some information or procedures on how to compute the amount of cargo on each hold. Once the figures of each hold are computed and initially you want to input it in the “Loadmaster”, the results would be in “Hog” condition and the deflection would be greater and the stress is most concentrated at the midship part of the vessel. To reduce the deflection due to Hog, shift some cargoes in holds 1 and 9 to hold 5, 3, and 7 to hold 5. Repeat the same process till you get a minimal deflection or even keel. DISCLAIMER: No shortcut computation is intended here. You may adopt the procedures being discussed here but do so at your own risk. Make use of your Loadmaster on board to get things done for your computation correctly.
