How to connect Visual Studio Code to AWS EC2 over SSH

In this how to tutorial, I am showing how to connect visual studio code to an Amazon EC2 instance, create/copy/move files locally and they are available in the ec2 instance.

What is the need for this?
It's always harder to make/change the tab sensitive files like python, yaml in vi or nano editor in the EC2. One incorrectly placed tab can break the program.
