More than 900 people joined "Three Life Skills" with Mingyur Rinpoche on March 30 and this is an excerpt of the workshop. Rinpoche shared valuable practices to help us connect with our innate well-being. We learned that:
- By observing our thoughts and emotions without judgment, we can connect with our awareness to be truly present in the moment. This allows us to respond thoughtfully to situations rather than react impulsively.
- Meditation fosters self-compassion, which naturally extends as kindness to others. As we become more aware of our own struggles, we develop greater empathy and understanding for those around us.
- By being open and non-judgmental, we cultivate a sense of curiosity towards ourselves and the world. This allows us to learn and grow from our experiences, fostering a sense of wonder and possibility.
