This week on The Horti-Culturalists we taking a look at a wonderful woodland walk in the garden of one of Stephen's neighbours! It's a small space - about 3.5m x 12m or 10ft x 40ft - running between the house and the fence but despite its relative smallness there is an astonishing array of plants giving colour form and texture throughout the year all of which make the walk seem a lot longer than it is! So in this video we'll look at the plants used to create this beautiful space, the things you need to consider when going about creating your own, and the possibility of being able to create a similar walk in a warmer climate. Many thanks to Cathy for letting us spend all morning lurking in her beautiful garden!! The plants we cover in this video are: Acer pentaphyllum Betula pendula Daucus decipiens Lunaria annua - Honesty Smyrnium perfoliatum Trillium Epimedium - Barrenwort Potentilla indica Galium odoratum - sweet woodruff Hellebores Euphorbia amygdaloides var. robbiae Pachyphragma macrophyllum Erythronium Disporum Uvularia grandiflora Melasphaerula graminea Pleioblastus You can find our woodland plants play list here: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLxtRBwKf75CX-tEG7a3KYinJ-W85PWs14
