Have you ever been told to stay within the lines? Yeah, I have as well. And really, though this concept may work for some, for the most part all it does is contribute to making our creative process more rigid and less fun. I like to work without rules and experiment so I can learn and grow as an artist. And it seems to me there is just no better way to do this than to break "the rules".
