Learn How to Create Crochet Planned Pooling Charts for Argyle using Moss Stitch! No more calculators needed. You can use graph paper and colored pencils to chart out your own planned pooling argyle which will help you better understand the technique.
You might have seen demonstrations using single crochet for planned pooling but the most common stitch used for planned pooling argyle crochet is moss stitch. Made up of single crochet and chain stitches, this pattern stitch is easy to memorize. It can be a little tricky to get the planned pooling calculator to work for you so why not just draw one yourself? (note: it is possible to use the calculator with moss stitch but I have seen many people struggle with it)
Now, you can use YOUR numbers that YOU get with YOUR yarn and plot out your own planned pooling chart. Marly shows you how!
Make something more than a planned pooling scarf or cowl is now even easier. You can be part of the crowd of people who love this crochet technique. Apply this fun argyle pattern to a fashionable poncho with a large fold over cowl.
ERRATA--
@9:27: I accidentally said that we use a ch 3 turning chain at the start of row 3 when you actually will do a ch 2 just--as you do at the start of all the rows. I had medicine head and just misspoke.
@13:19--on the chart the even rows will look like they shift to the right...but as you are working them in the pattern they will be shifting to the left. This is because the chart is only a view of one side of the fabric but when you are making the fabric you actually turn it to look at the side you are working on .
