Hi Everyone! Welcome to my new channel, Annie's Abstract Art. I am very excited to kick it off with a small abstract on a paper canvas that I think looks like a large abstract painting! In this video, I show you how I prepared the paper canvas to ready it for lots of texture using scraping techniques and a color palette of warm, cool, and neutral colors. The materials I used include: PAPER CANVAS: Artist Loft 140lb watercolor paper that I cut down to 5x5 ACRYLICS: Arteza Oxide Yellow, Mars Brown and Cold Grey; Liquitex BASICS Raw Sienna; FolkArt Midnight Garden and Sea Mist; DecoArt Buttermilk and Antique Maroon; and Anita's white and black. PASTELS: Deep red oil pastel stick PASTES: Lightweight Joint Compound MEDIUMS: Matte Medium to create a glaze mixed with acrylics. PENS & PENCILS: 08 Micron Pen; Peel & Sketch Charcoal Stick TOOLS: Large filbert round brush, small detailing brushes, medium sized stippling brush, small palette knife, and a plastic card OTHER CHANNEL: If you like mixed media portrait art, please visit my well-established channel, Head Trip Creations at youtube.com/@headtripcreations FORMER CHANNEL: You might been familiar with my old channel, Junk Draw Journals, that I retired after 10 months (with 1270 subscribers) because I want to do just abstract vs journaling. I did both there, but I want to fully focus on abstracts. I hope you found me again!!! Thank you so much for watching. If you are new to my channel, I hope you will subscribe, like and share my content. Also, hit the bell so you get notified when I upload new videos every week! Big "Bear" Hug, Ann(ie) Baehr
