I was making some wafer paper roses the other day and came across some plastic texture mats that I had barely ever used. I wondered if I could create those textures on my wafer paper. And so began my experiment! It turns out the rigid plastic mats are perfect for embossing a crisp pattern into the paper. Lightly misting the paper and pressing it into the mat allows you to capture the design, and the wafer paper dries so quickly that the design holds its shape. Call me a cake nerd, but I was super excited about this! Lots of design possibilities with this. Thought I’d share with you.
