How To CRUSH When You MISS The Flop

Video Not Working? Fix It Now

It’s an all too common poker nightmare; you raise preflop and then miss the flop! This spot is where I see lots of my students and other poker players making big mistakes that end up costing them lots of money in the future, this is how you crush your opponent's even when you miss the flop. There are many factors that you should consider before you decide your action when you have missed the flop. These include; your range, your opponent’s range, your position, your stack depth, your opponent’s tendencies & the number of players in the poker hand. When you are in position your betting frequency increases compared to when you are out of position. You must always be aware of how the flop connects with both your range and your opponent’s range. A general rule of thumb is that if it favors your range over your opponents then you should bet. Equally if the board favors your opponent’s range then you should check at a higher frequency. One key question you should be asking yourself is; do you have the range and/or nut advantage? These ideas heavily influence when and how much you should bet. All of these factors will help you decide what to do when you miss the flop! 0:00 - Intro & Initial Considerations 1:53 - Range Advantage 5:23 - Nut Advantage 6:45 - Position 7:59 - Stack Depth 8:47 - Opponent's Tendencies 10:06 - Number Of Opponents 12:47 - Examples Come play poker with me!
