Throughout this video I discuss the basic techniques and processes I use when sketching a portrait. Portrait illustration is a skill that requires years of continuous practice. It's been over 20 years since I've sketched portraits on a regular basis. I only sketch once a week but already finding much improvement in the way I approach my subjects.
