PAINTING VIDEO DESCRIPTION – Looking for an easy painting idea? Want to do a fun craft DIY project? Let me be your acrylic art instructor as I teach you easy step-by-step instructions throughout this fun beginner art video as you learn how to paint a mountain goat standing at the edge of a rock high up in the sky—a beautiful scene landscape and animal portrait painting “ON TOP OF THE WORLD”. I really enjoy going hiking. Living in the mountains in New England, however, hiking season is only a few months long. There are quite a few hiking trails near my house and there are a few mountains in the Berkshires that are very popular, such as Alander Mountain and Mount Greylock. For those of you who are Harry Potter fans, you might recognize Mount Greylock as the home of IIvermorny School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Although these mountains are beautiful and the hikes to the peak are fun, they don’t compare to some other mountains I’ve hiked in Utah, Colorado, and North Carolina. I’m talking about hiking for hours, being exhausted when you finally reach the peak, being way up high almost as if you can touch the clouds, where the air feels thinner, you can see in all directions for miles, where you can spin around and see 360 degrees, and you might even get a little vertigo. What a feeling! And these billy goats get to do this daily. So join me and paint with acrylics this stag that has the distinct pleasure of hiking and climbing mountains every day and enjoy the splendor of seeing the world from its highest peaks. The painting process is so simple to follow. First, you’ll learn how to draw an outline for a landscape, including the sky, mountains and hills. Then you’ll learn how to paint a sky using bright colors, creating the feeling of a sunshine day, the perfect for being outdoors. Then you’ll learn how to paint rolling mountains using various shades of colors to create depth perspective in the mountains, both far and near. Then you’ll learn how to paint trees in the foreground using a dotting and stippling technique. You’ll use this same painting technique to paint a rock for texture and form. Then, after learning how to draw an outline for a buck and rack, you’ll apply a simple base coat to work off of. You learn how to paint facial features on your animal, including, eyes, nose, mouth and horns. Then you’ll learn how to paint fur using a directional brushstroke with layers of color to give the goat coat movement and texture. You'll jump for joy when you see how easy it is to make your sheep come alive with just a few colors, strokes, and outlines. You can personalize the painting in any way you want, by adding a sunset or sunrise, snow for winter, or grass and flowers to turn it into a spring or summer landscape. The painting process is so simple you’ll feel like it is a paint by numbers. Using only 3 brushes and 7 colors, you’ll paint like a professional! Have a date night, paint party, paint and sip event, or virtual paint night. Paint with gouache, oil paint, or watercolor, any medium will work! Paint just for fun or for art therapy. It's an easy art project. I hope you enjoy watching this YouTube art video and let's get painting and let's get sipping!
