I have been hunting morels as long as I can remember. My Mom started taking me into the woods to look for them from an age when I was too young to remember the first time. Later on my Dad got more into looking for them and I would go with him too.

Morel mushrooms are my favorite mushroom to eat. It is important to cook them thoroughly. They are poisonous but the toxic chemical has a relatively low boiling point. It easily cooks out of them. When trying any wild mushroom for the first time, I think it's best to start with a small sample. Some people have allergic reactions to mushrooms. I think it's best to do a small test to make sure you don't have a negative reaction. But I am not a medical professional so don't listen to me, instead seek advice from a medical professional.
