How to fit Anti Flap Bars to Carefree & Fiamma Awnings. Aussie Traveller Awning Anti Flap Bars.
When I took my motorhome away for the first time I was very disappointed with how light and flimsy the Carefree/ Fiamma Awning seemed when out in even in the mildest of breezes. It definitely needed some extra bracing if I wanted to leave it out unattended.
I was originally told that I wasn't able to fit anti flap bars to the Carefree awning on my new motorhome (Jayco Conquest RM20-5).
After some minor modifications I was able to fit the anti flap bars myself.
After installing anti flap bars the awning became so much stronger, stable and able to leave out in a lot stronger wind conditions.
