Video Not Working? Fix It Now

How I fixed a leak in my Sta-Rite System 3 Filter upper tank dome. This is a DE type pool Filter but this fix should work on any filter type that is leaking. This video is the steps to fix it. I could not find a video on YouTube that successfully sealed a pool filter leak due to the high pressure that is inside when the pool filter is running. So, I had to experiment and I was successful with a combination of hard epoxy, layers of flex tape, contact cement and then more epoxy.

UPDATE: 9/8/2021: It failed eventually. It held for months but the mistake I made was turning on the gas heater to run the hot tub part of our pool. I had that going for a few hours one night which meant 100 degree water constantly flowing through that filter for hours. It blew that night like an explosion and thankfully I was there in the hot tub with Mary to see that and react quickly as water was spraying out like never before. So I jumped up and turned the whole thing off and then bought and had a new filter unit installed that week. That dome split from bottom to top! No longer a hairline fracture. No glue was going to work on that thing again.
